March 15 Quote of the Dy

I believe that if one always looked at the skies, one would end up with wings.
Gustave Flaubert

Maybe just looking at the sky won’t give us wings but working toward our goals, struggling over each obstacle, following each path, believing that the goal is attainable will certainly bring us close. It may even bring us all the way there.

February 27 Quote of the Day

Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.
Harriet Tubman

Harriet Tubman was an American slave. Her life could not have been more difficult. As a child, she was beaten by slave owners and suffered a head wound which caused seizures for her throughout her life and yet she could dream. She dreamed of freedom, escaping to the north and then returning repeatedly to the south to rescue family members and others from slavery. During the Civil War, she lead a raid which liberated more than 700 slaves. She had a dream for herself and all the others who suffered in slavery and she acted on that dream. She changed her world. Our dreams may not be as big or as noble as her dream was but they still matter. We, too, can take our dreams and change our world if we just have the strength, the patience and the passion to do so. What is your dream? Go out there and make it happen!
